Medicine Hat, AB (Sept 30, 2021): Alberta Health Services (AHS) has informed us that the Medical Officer of Health has declared a COVID-19 identified respiratory illness outbreak at our school. A COVID-19 respiratory illness outbreak is when AHS is made aware of increased absenteeism or an unusual amount of students with similar symptoms and at least 2 confirmed cases are linked to individuals within the school setting; outbreak control measures will be implemented to limit further spread. Please see the following letter from AHS in regards to the outbreak and the control measures that will be implemented prior to students and staff returning to school.

We are monitoring the number of self-reported positive cases connected to our school and will continue to report those at the end of each school day on our website. We will continue to work with AHS and will inform families when the outbreak is resolved. Please contact me at [email protected] or call 403.529.2960 with your questions.
